Georg Adam Scheid
G.A. Scheid manufacture was a gold and silversmith industry in Vienna. Georg Adam Scheid found the company around the second half of the nineteenth century. In 1867, when the the industrialization of Hungary began, the company expand to Budapest. G.A. Scheid was one of the most famous Hungarian medal manufacturers, but a other big part for them was to create medals for sport events and art displays. They produced gold and silver foil for industry and they owned parts of gold mines to the north of Hungary and Transylvania. The company also served the neighboring country's. After the Second World War the German giant Degussa bought out G.A in Vienna.
