History
The Order of Fidelity (Nishan-i-Vafa) was established by King Amanu'llah in 1919. The Order is conferred in 4 Classes to reward loyal service provided to the King during his accession to the throne. Demonstrations of gallantry performed in the field may also be eligible for the award. The Order is believed to have made obsolete in 1929, however, it may not have been discontinued until 1973.
Recipients of the Order were also entitled to a land grant.
There is expected to be additional versions of the III Class Decoration which vary by design and composition according to the period or Monarch of institution. However, due to the complex, uncertain, and contradicting information regarding the background and structure of the Order of Fidelity (Nishan-i-Vafa), these different versions are not featured here. Subsequent research is necessary.
