History

The Cultural Achievement (Farhang) Award was established during the Pahlavi era to recognize excellent educational service. The Award was issued as a Decoration in 3 Classes and as a Medal in 2 Classes. Educators, principles, vice principles, and other staff of educational institutions were eligible for the award of the Decoration while teachers, lower administrative staff, and honour students were eligible for the award of the ...   Medal.

The I Class Silver Medal features Persian script on the obverse which translates to "Culture."
