History

The King Faisal II Coronation Medal was established by King Faisal II in 1953 in commemoration of his Coronation as King of Iraq on May 2, 1953. The Medal may also be known as the "Enthronement Medal" (Nut al-Tohija). It is believed that the Medal was issued in 3 Classes

The III Class is composed of bronze.

The Medal features an Arabic inscription on the reverse which translates to "Coronation Year 1372H-1953M."

There are known to be multiple manufacturers of the Medal, and the Medal design is expected to vary by manufacturer.
