History

The Medal for Children's Welfare (Nut Himayat al-Atfal) was established in 1941. It is uncertain if the Medal was discontinued following the fall of the Kingdom of Iraq.

The Medal features an Arabic inscription on the obverse which translates to "Medal for Children's Welfare in Iraq 1941."

The Medal may be awarded in both a I Class, in gold, and II Class, in silver, but more research is needed.
