The Police Volunteers Medal (Itur HaHitnadvut) was established by the Law of Decorations of the Israel Police and Prison Service in 1972 or 1974. The Medal was awarded by the Cheif Commissioner in recognition of an outstanding contribution to the achievement of the goals of the civil guard through the performance of an outstanding act, perseverance, or exemplary dedication. The Medal was made obsolete on January 20, 2010.

The Medal may have been awarded posthumously.
