The Long Service Medal (Midalat al-Taqdir lil Khidmat al-Makhlis) was instituted by King Abdullah I in 1948. The Medal is awarded to members of uniformed services in recognition of long service and good conduct. The Medal is awarded to Officers in recognition of 20 continuous years of service and to Non-Commissioned Officers in recognition of 15 years of service.
The Bronze Medal features an Arabic inscription on the obverse which translates to "Sharat Tawdir Al-Khldma al-Mukhllea" (Medal in Appreciation of Loyal Service), as well as on the reverse which translates to "Abdullah Ibn Al-Hussein", along with the date "1339AH" (1921).
