History

The Order of Military Glory (Wisam al-Iftiqhar al-Askari) was established by King Hussein. The Order was created in honour of Glubb Pasha, or Sir John Bagot Glubb, a British soldier, scholar, and author, who, while acting as Commanding General, led and trained Transjordan Arab Legion between 1939 and 1956. The Order is conferred in a single grade as a Collar.
