History
The 1926 Commemorative Medal for Lebanon was established by the Lebanese Government under the French Protectorate of Lebanon on March 9, 1926. The Medal was awarded to French troops who served in the creation and maintenance of a Lebanon state separate from Syria following the Second World War.
The obverse features both a French and Arabic inscription which translates to "For Lebanon" and an obverse engraving of the date "1926" in both Roman and Arabic numerals.
