History

The Royal Omani Police Long Service and Good Conduct Medal, or the Sultan's Police Long Service and Good Conduct Medal, (Midal al-Khidmat al-Saluk al-Tawilat wa Hasan al-Sultani) was instituted by Sultan Said bin Taimur in 1975. The Medal is awarded to members of the Royal Omani Police, Fire and Prison services in recognition of 12 years or more of long service and good conduct.

The reverse features an Arabic inscription which translates to "For Long Service and Good Behaviour."
