History

The Exceptional Promotion Medal is awarded to any person of the Saudi Arabian Armed Forces in recognition of promotion for combatant acts of bravery.

A numeral device is authorized to wear on the Medal to denote subsequent promotions. It is uncertain if the device is worn on the ribbon or attached to the Medal. More research is necessary.
