History

The Army Silver Jubilee Medal was established on July 28, 1971. The Medal was issued to all members of the Syrian Armed Forces in recognition of service on August 1st, 1971, in commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the Syrian Army.

The Medals features an Arabic inscription on the obverse which translates to "25th Anniversary of the Creation of the Syrian Arab Army" and the date "1 August 1971."
