History

The Order of the Syrian Family was established by Legislative Decree on March 4 or 18, 1952, as a motherhood award to promote children. The Order is presented in 5 Classes.

The II Class Medal is composed of gold and is conferred upon mothers who have reared between 12 and 15 children.

Recipients of the Order may also be entitled to a monetary consideration from the government.
