History

The Order of the President of Turkmenistan "Bitaraplyk" (Order of Neutrality) was conferred by the President of Turkmenistan upon both foreigners and citizens in recognition of contributions to Turkmenistan's neutrality. Other eligible service includes contributions towards, or achievements in, Turkmenistan's economic development, production efficiency, science and technological development, national defence, culture, literature, public health, law, public education, and the strengthening of economic or cultural relations between Turkmenistan and other states and international organizations.

Recipients of the Order are also entitled to a monetary prize of 15 times the monthly minimum wage and monthly wage bonds of 15 percent the minimum wage.

The Decoration may have been awarded on a gold chain, but additional research is necessary to confirm.
