History

The Order of the Star of the President of Turkmenistan is awarded in recognition of meritorious acts provided in defence of the homeland, development of friendship and collaboration between peoples, strengthening of peace, the development of the national economy, and other significant services to the state and society. Foreigners may also be eligible for the award.

The reverse features a Turkmen inscription which translates to "Order of Turkmenistan Star of the President."

Recipients of the Star are also entitled to a one-time award of 10 minimum monthly wages and an ongoing monthly increase in wages at the rate of 30 percent of the minimum wage.
