History

The Order of October 14 was initially created by the People's Democratic Republic of Yemen (South Yemen) around 1964 to commemorate National Day and the 1964 uprising against the British. However, the Order was continued and modified in April 1991 following the formation of the Republic of Yemen in 1990. The Order is awarded in 3 Classes.
