History

The Commissioner's Olympic Citation was added to the honours system of New South Wales in 2000. It was awarded to Police Officers who rendered outstanding service leading up to and during the Sydney Olympic Games. The award was issued to around seventy Police Officers.

The Citation features bronze Olympic rings attached to a blue, yellow, black, green, and red striped ribbon.
