History

This Medal is conferred upon police officers of the Queensland Police Service in recognition of 10 years of service. A clasp is awarded for each additional 5 years of service.

The obverse of the medal features the emblem of the Queensland Police Service surrounded by the inscription ‘DILIGENT AND ETHICAL SERVICE’. The Crown of St. Edward surmounts the medal and attaches to a suspension bar. The reverse of the medal is blank and will be inscribed with the name of the recipient. The inscription ‘QUEENSLAND POLICE SERVICE MEDAL’ runs around the reverse rim. The ribbon has a light blue centre stripe, with a dark blue stripe on each side, and a thin white stripe on each exterior edge.
