History

The Queensland Prison Service Superintendent’s Long Service Medal is a Maltese Cross with a wreath visible between the cross arms. The Crown of St. Edward surmounts the top cross arm. The obverse of the medal features the Coat of Arms of Queensland. The medal is attached to a teal and burgundy ribbon with a bar suspender that features the inscription ‘MERITORIOUS SERVICE.’ At the very top of the ribbon, there is a brooch suspender that is inscribed with the recipient’s name on the reverse.
