History
This medal was established during the reign of Alexander II in commemoration of the liberation of Bulgaria from Turkey. It was conferred upon non-commissioned officers and enlisted personnel who served in the liberation of Bulgaria.
The obverse inscription translates to: "By the Grace of God Alexander II Emperor and Autocrat of All Russias 19 February 1878". The reverse inscription translates to: "Who Saws with Tears Will Reap with Joy In Memory of the Liberation of the Bulgarian Brothers."
