History

This Medal is awarded to Non-Commissioned Officers and enlisted men in recognition of 13 years of long and faithful service. It may also be awarded to military personnel for acts of bravery, and to Generals for combat command of at least 1 year.

There are two versions of the medal which differ in inscription. The first version features an obverse inscription that stands for "République Centrafricaine," which translates to "Central African Republic." The second version features an obverse inscription that stands for "Empire Centrafricain," which translates to "Central African Empire." Both versions feature a reverse inscription that translates to "Unity, Dignity, Labour."
