The Buenos Aires Medal for the Southern Railway Opening (Medalla Conmemorativa por la Inauguración del Ferrocarril del Sur) was authorized by the Buenos Aires city, in commemoration of the opening of the railway that went from Ranchos to Azul town (317,98 km) in 1876.

It is not clear who was the recipient for this Medal.
