History


The Restorer of the Peace Medal (Medalla a los Restauradores de la Paz) was instituted in recognition of the military personnel who participated in the suppression of a conservative rebellion in Puebla on March 23, 1856.

The Medal features an obverse inscription that can be translated to "Restorer of the Peace in 1856."
