History


The Medal for Tiskokob (Medalla de Tiskokob) was instituted in Mexico on August 4, 1843. It was awarded to Mexican forces under the command of Colonel Francisco Pérez, who defeated separatists rebels commanded by López Llergo at the town of Tiskokob on April 10, 1843.

The Medal features an obverse inscription that translates to "Courage and Constancy for the National Unity," and a reverse inscription that translates to "He Defeated them at Tiskokob on April 10, 1843."
