Of Chinese manufacture, a silver eight point star composed of five rays representing the colours of the Chinese Republic in black, blue, red, yellow and white enamel, centre obverse with silver sunburst displaying three separately affixed stars at 12 o’clock, with a large medallion featuring an yellow and black enameled tiger in the centre with a green foreground and blue sky, centre reverse bears the second seal mark and second digital mark 7XII, residue surrounding silver sunburst, wear on 12 o’clock red enamel ray, otherwise enamels completely intact, on original ribbon, very fine condition.
This Order was instituted by President Yuan Shih-Kai on December 6, 1912. It was conferred upon Chinese and foreign military personnel in recognition of meritorious service during war and peace. It became obsolete in 1928.
The VII Class Knight was awarded to Non-Commissioned Officers and Enlisted men.
