Conferred upon soldiers in recognition of a) dedication and skill in carrying out specialized tasks in a special unit for 2 continuous years or 3 non-continuous years; or, b) the outstanding ability to carry out specialized tasks that are high-risk (death, psychiatric disorders, physical disability).
