History

This order, also known as "Darjah Kebesaran Mahkota Kelantan Yang Amat Mulia" was founded in honour of Sultan Muhammad I in 1916. This order is awarded to those showing loyalty and conscientious service. Men's ribbon is a sash and women's ribbon is a bow. The Knight Grand Commander class is awarded to forty living persons.

The commander breast star is a seven-pointed star in gilt with a center device of the Jawi cypher, a crown and a surrounding inscription. It is smaller than the Knight Grand Commander Breast Star.
