History

This order, also known as "Darjah Kebesaran Jiwa Mahkota Kelantan Yang Amat Mulia" and more often "the Star of Ismail" was established by Sultan Ismail in 1925. It is awarded for self-sacrifice and taking life-risking situations, and for promoting business enterprises. There is an honourary membership for foreigners. The Knight Grand Commander is limited to fifty recipients.

The Collar is comprised of 28 links of silver presenting a Jawi cypher and a front device that features the same cypher as the Order of the Crown - the crescent and star, crown and two supporting deer.
