History

This Order was conferred upon members of the Royal Family or Nepalese civilians in recognition of outstanding service to the nation. It is also awarded to foreigners for special service to the nation.

This Order is also known as the Order of the Three Divine Powers.

The obverse features an inscription in Nepalese that is translated as "MOTHER, FATHER AND COUNTRY ARE SUPERIOR TO HEAVEN".
