History

This medal is conferred upon Commissioned Officers of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force. It is awarded for loyal, gallant, long and valuable service. To be considered for this award, individuals must have served a minimum of 18 years military service.

This award is also known as the Efficient Service Decoration.
