Breast Star: silver gilt with red, white and green enamelled insignia, mounted to the centre of a sixteen-pointed star base, a gilt crown mounted to the top star point, measuring 78.8 mm (w) x 77 mm (h), vertical pinback. Near extremely fine.
The Order was created by King Mongkut, and may be conferred upon national and foreign citizens for extraordinary civil and military service to the Kingdom of Thailand. The Orders may be awarded to both men (Knight) and women (Dame).
There is a discrepancy in size between the Order grades awarded to men versus those awarded to women.
