A four-pointed silvered bronze star, each arm consists of six rays, with points between the arms, the obverse center bears a medallion with a stylized dragon encompassed with the inscription DANH-DU BOI-TINH VIETNAM (Medal of Honour of Merit Vietnam), the reverse is plain, with a palm frond wreath suspension, on a yellow ribbon with light blue and red stripes.
This medal was conferred for non-combat contributions to the organization and formation of the Armed Forces, and training troops and technical cadres.
It was awarded to Non-Commissioned Officers, Warrant Officers, and Enlisted personnel.
