History

This medal was conferred upon military units or personnel of the Vietnam Armed Forces and Allied Forces in recognition of notable contributions and achievements to civil affairs.

The II Class Medal was awarded to Enlisted Personnel. The medal is identical for the I Class and II Class, but the ribbon differs. The II Class ribbon is dark green with 2 wide red vertical stripes.

It was awarded in 4 levels, which were represented by ribbon decorations:

1) Armed Forces - Palm
2) Corps - Gold Star
3) Division - Silver Star
4) Regiment/Brigade - Bronze Star

The obverse inscription translates to "Civil Action" and "Medal".
