A People's Republic Albania Order of Liberty; 2nd Class; Three-piece construction, silvered and gilt metal with red enamels, marked "PR'A'WEMA MARKNEWKIRCHEN" on the screwback, 44 mm x 44 mm, light contact, near extremely fine.
This Order was awarded in recognition of extraordinary acts of patriotism and merit that served and strengthened socialism. The Order was conferred upon individuals, social and political organizations, and collectives.
The II Class awards were reserved for acts that preserved the liberty of Albanian citizens, as well as extraordinary contributions within labour and scientific research.
The Order is also known as the Order of Liberty.
