This Order was awarded in recognition of extraordinary acts of patriotism and merit that served and strengthened socialism. The Order was conferred upon individuals, social and political organizations, and collectives.
The III Class badges were reserved for acts that preserved the liberty of Albanian citizens, as well as for extraordinary contributions within political and social labour efforts.
The Order is also known as the Order of Liberty.
