History

This Order is conferred upon members of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina in recognition of acts of gallantry during conflict, and it is also awarded to civilians for bravery in life threatening situations or for rescuing victims in peril and material goods.

The military version of this Order has swords.
