The Aircrew Badge is classified into four types based on changes in design during different political regimes.
The Type II Badge was instituted on June 1, 1973. It does not have a royal crown above the flying eagle. It is identical to the Type II Pilot Badge, but it is half-sized.
There are three versions of the Type II Badge that differ in composition.
