History


The Medal for Service with the United Nations in Korea (1950) was created at the end of 1950. It was awarded to the 1263-man Greek contingent who participated in the Korean War between June 27, 1950, and 27 July 1954.

The Bronze Medal features a reverse inscription that translates to "For Service in Defence of the Principles of the Charter of the United Nations." It was awarded with a "KOPEA" ribbon clasp.
