The Medal for 15 & 20 Years of Military Service was established by King Carol I in 1913. It was awarded to Non-Commissioned Officers of the Romanian Armed Force and Petty Officers of the Romanian Navy for 15 and 20 years of meritorious service.

The Bronze Medal (for 15 Years) has a reverse inscription that translates to "Reward for Military Service."
