The Order of Agricultural Merit was awarded to Romanian citizens in recognition of merit in agriculture, but it was permanently suppressed following the collapse of the Socialist Republic in 1989.
Recipients of the I Class Breast Star were granted 1600 lei (400 USD) and were entitled to four additional days of paid leave.
