History


This Medal was founded by Duchess Marie Louise to reward citizens who rendered exceptionally meritorious services to the Dynasty of Parma.

During the reign of Marie Louise the Gold Medal was awarded four times, and the Silver Medal was awarded twenty eight times.

The grade of Bronze Medal was added on September 4, 1849.
