A cross with laurel detailing in the quadrants between the arms, the cross arms are of red enamel with a white enamel border, the obverse center bears a gilt image with a light blue enamel sky, encompassed by a white enamel border inscribed with PAU PAU SEMPRE PAU SOMATENES ARMADOS DE CATALUNA, the reverse center bears the inscription CONSTANCIA PATRIOTISMO ABNEGACION on a red enamel background, topped with a mural crown on a purple ribbon.
The Catalonian Somaten Militia Loyalty Medal was created by Royal Decree on February 6, 1918 in recognition of twenty years of service in the Somaten of Catalonia.
The ribbon may be decorated with a clasp reading, "CONSTANCIA".
