An ovular medal, the obverse bears the inscription MOROCCO within a crescent moon with the landscape of Morocco, and the sun with the inscription PAZ 1909-1927, the reverse bears the inscription ESPANA SIEMPRE DIS PUESTA A TODA EMPRESA DE CIVILIZACION UNIVERSAL CONTRIBUYO A LA DE MARRUECOS CON LA SANGRE PRECIADA DE SUS HIJOS Y EL ORO DE SUS ARCAS EL TRIUNFO DE SUS ARMAS Y LA CULTURA DE SUS METODOS SON LOS CIMIENTOS DE ES TA GRAN OBRA DE HUMANIDAD, topped with a dove with outspread wings with an olive branch in its beak and a royal crown, on a white, green, red and yellow ribbon.
The Morocco Peace Medal was created by Royal Decree on November 21, 1927. The medal was awarded to those who served in the military during the completion of the military action in the North Zone.
The medal was extended to French recipients and there is a variant where the inscription on the reverse is in French rather than Spanish.
