The Medal for Caspuenas and Brihuega was authorized in Spain on October 18, 1842. It was conferred upon members of the National Militia of Madrid for their participation in the battles of Caspuenas and Brihuega in 1823.

The Medal features an obverse inscription that translates to "Reward to Courage and Suferring 1823."
