    Established by King Oscar II, this Medal is conferred upon advocates of Swedish Reindeer Husbandry.

    The obverse design of the medal consists of the portrait of the reining monarch, and around his head in Swedish, his name and title; because of this there are many variations of this medal.

    Earlier models of this medal consisted of an inscription reading "PUORRE PATSOI SUITTEMEST".
