Established by King Gustaf V, in commemoration of the 1912 Stockholm Olympic Games, this Medal was conferred upon Royal families, Swedish and foreign, to recipients of the Swedish and International Olympic Committee, to leading officials and representatives of various countries, and to Swedish medalists of the Olympic games.
