Also known as the "Royal Family Order" or the "Order Tessera Concordiae", this Order was established by King Christian VII, possibly, in replacement of the Order of Mathilde, which was abolished upon Queen Caroline Mathilde's exile. The Order was conferred exclusively upon members of the Royal Family.
Both women and men were eligible to receive this Order. Women would wear it on their left breast with a bow, and men on a left button hole of their coats.
In present day there is no existing insignia, therefore, all images of the Badge are merely drawings based on images in paintings of recipients, and there are many descriptions known of the badge.
The Order became obsolete in 1796, after the death of Queen Juliane Marie.
