The Tourism Medal is awarded for volunteer services, and excellent long and faithful service to the development of tourism in France.
The Bronze Medal is awarded to those who are at least 30 years old for a minimum of 12 years of service in the tourism industry. The Silver Medal may be awarded to recipients of the Bronze Medal after 5 years, and the Gold Medal may be awarded to recipients of the Silver Medal after 5 years. The annual contingent is composed of 500 Bronze Medals, 200 Silver Medals, and 60 Gold Medals.
The obverse inscription translates to “French Republic.”
