History


The Long Service Bar was instituted by Prince Paul Friedrich Emile Leopold III and was conferred upon non-commissioned officers, enlisted men, and members of the police in recognition of long and meritorious service.

The awards were conferred until the signing of the military convention with Prussia on 1 October, 1867.
