The Hanoverian Regimental Commemorative Medal was founded by King Wilhelm II to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Hanoverian Troops and various regimental anniversaries.
The medal was conferred upon veterans of the Hanoverian army who had fought alongside Prussian troops.
A total of nine different medals were issued; they were awarded at the anniversary celebration of the troops.
The medals feature a variety of dates, which denote the anniversary year of different regiments within the Hanoverian Army.
